Testing

In the realm of UX research, the journey from ideation to implementation hinges on the validation of design concepts. Lo-fi designs serve as the initial blueprint, offering a stripped-down version that focuses on functionality over aesthetics. However, the true litmus test of success lies in the validation of these prototypes through rigorous testing. In this article, we delve into the pivotal role of testing in after designing lo-fi prototypes, exploring how it ensures alignment with user needs, and identifies pain points.

I conducted interviews with 2 types of users:

Interviews with users

First, I met with our end users and showed them the project I designed so far and asked them to asses the functionality of the system I designed (Find Here). What helps me that I used Lo-Fi designs which gives me 2 benefits: First, saved time that could be wasted designing Hi-Fi design and turned out to be wrong. Second, It helps to keep the focus of the user on the functionality only. After the interviews, I found out the following:

Users’ interviews Results

Interviews with stakeholders

I conducted an interview with -imaginary- stakeholder. After the meeting I came up with the following insights:

  • I should put offers section in the main page and should be above the fold.
  • I should put nearby cafes as accessible to user as possible and that they will be more than one category.
  • There is no need to put a page for choosing the coffee details because the orders will be presented in the menu with no availability to addons.

Lo-Fi — Version 2

After gathering all the notes from the interviews I came up with the second version in which I solved the issues from the first version.

Lo-Fi designs — Version 2

After another testing I reached to the conclusion that this is a good design from a the functionality point of view. Now, I will move to designing Hi-Fi designs. The question is “What could I do to make the designing process Faster?” I will answer this question in my next article.
